Social Entrepreneurship Bootcamp FAQ

Thank you so much for your interest in applying to Social Entrepreneurship Bootcamp! This page contains important information to help guide you through the application process. But, if any unanswered questions remain, feel free to reach out to Alia at directly.

The Process

Application: Please complete and submit the linked application by August 25, 2017 at 11:59 PM. Take advantage of our Application FAQ document for more detailed tips on drafting a successful application. Remember that applications cannot be revised once submitted, so we recommend drafting answers to your questions in a word document first, then copying and pasting answers once you are ready to submit. This will help make sure your word counts are accurate, that spelling errors are corrected, and hard work isn’t lost!

In-Person Interview: In addition to preparing for a typical interview experience, applicants who are invited to the first round interview will be asked to prepare a 5-minute pitch for their organization. Please see page 9 of the Application FAQ document for more detailed information on preparing. The purpose of this activity is to give our selection committee a sense for your existing organization and pitch. Keep in mind that a major goal of Social Entrepreneurship Bootcamp is to help you refine and strengthen your pitch. As such, we’ll be evaluating effort and presentation as much as the quality of your pitch.  First round interviews will take place between September 5-8, 2017

Final Interview: Applicants who are invited to the second round interview will be required to share with us one document (no more than five pages) that your organization already uses that gives us insight into the essence of  your organization. The may be an executive summary, business plan, strategic plan, overview presentation, or something else altogether. Again, do not create something new for us to review. Final-round interviews will take place between September 11-15, 2017. Interviews can be done in-person, via phone, or Skype.
